Therapist Listing Print
As agencies and parents learn more about attachment problems, the demand for attachment professionals will increase. In the meantime, one of the long-term goals of this website is to provide a listing of attachment professionals, recommended by adoptive parents, that includes the ages the therapist has experience treating. We don't only wish to catalog qualified attachment therapists, but attachment therapists who have successfully treated YOUNG children. If you have a recommendation, please contact us.

Please help our listing to grow!

[Our daughter] has made wonderful progress and it never would have happened w/o Lynne's great advice!"

Northwest Neurodevelopmental Training Center
152 Arthur St.
Woodburn, OR 97071
As a parent, when I started reading about attachment, I kept reading about how a child's brain can be affected by early trauma/separation from birth parent. But I found very little that told much about what to DO about the brain issues. NNTC gives patients a series of exercises to do each day that over a period of months can change brain function in relation to attachment. They have treated babies and toddlers as well as children & adults.

Dr. Lark Eshleman
The Institute for Children and Families
Lancaster Office
1861 Charter Lane Suite 123
Lancaster, PA 17601
Fax: 717-290-7044
Notes: Dr. Eshleman is a true expert in the field of adoption and trauma. She was and still is a valuable member of our 3.5-year-old son's treatment team. She is knowledgeable, resourceful, and open to methods outside of the many services and treatment interventions her office and staff provide. Our son made great strides quickly with Dr. Eshleman's guidance and support. She would be an incredible asset to any family struggling with attachment-strain, PTSD, and any of the many issues that can stem from adoption and trauma. She's also given us helpful advice in parenting our 18-month-old.

Notes: We found a very knowledgeable attachment therapist who is also an adoptive parent. She was especially helpful with guiding us through a holding time that gave us the confidence, understanding, and language we needed to continue having successful holding times at home…this guidance made all the difference in our child’s healing. She is a wonderfully warm and resourceful therapist who looks at the whole child and not just specifically “attachment issues”. She helped us find all the right people for our toddler’s specific needs.
